The Island

The Village

Moreau's Facility

This was a project for my Conceptual Storytelling class. It's a reinterpretation of the book, "The Island of Dr. Moreau". It's still rough around the edges but if I have spare time I want to paint these in Photoshop.

Museum Matte Painting

This matte painting was for my Advanced Background Design class last quarter. The theme for this environment was late 1800's Victorian architecture incorporating some fantasy elements. There is much I need to change on this piece. I'll post my progress with this piece as I move through it.

Star Wars: Character Creation

This set of characters was for a class with the concept artist Erik Ryan. These are my recreations of three characters from the Star Wars Universe; Count Dooku, Luke Skywalker, and the Rancor. Pretty happy with what came out of the class and all I've learned.

Demon

This is a conceptual piece of a demon I created. My work time on this was around 10-12 hours.

Self Portrait

My self portrait. Originally I was going to do this traditionally using acrylic paint. But I decided it would be better to do it digitally due to time restraints. I used a custom color palette but used a photo to get measurements and proportions from. My work time on this piece was around 30 hours.

Traditional Portraits

This is a commission portrait I worked on. I used white chalk on black paper and black colored pencil for the darker black in the hair. I finished this in about 15 hours.

This is my "Queen of the Bulls" portrait. My favorite due to how well the style and the black and white shades work together.

Digital Portrait

This was the first digital portrait I worked on. This started as a study for my Figure Painting class and ended more rendered than I initially wanted. I put in about 6 hours to make this.

This is the second digital portrait I worked on. I wanted to focus on how light changes color rather than copying a portrait. It took in between 8 hours to finish this study.

For this portrait I wanted to focus on making colors, so I stayed away from color sampling. I was surprised to see what I came up with. This portrait took me 16-17 hours to do.

Destroyed City

My first digital piece. Overall around five hours to make using Corel Painter. I did this after taking perspective class.

Alice in Wonderland

This is Alice right before tumbling down the rabbit hole. I decided to take a darker look at the world of Wonderland.

Adam and Eve

This was my rendition of Adam and Eve. Its basically a figurative interpretation of what literally happened to them.
