Lizard-Man Portrait

Another portrait I worked on. I've many of these to do and a long way to go. Will be posting a lot more. So far I can see a sense a difference in my understanding of color and it's not halting me from my creativity as much as it was. Yay for progress.

Gone with the Apes!!!

Okay, this was a fun one. A client of mine wanted a poster for his wife anniversary present. This is combining two movies, "Gone with the Wind" and "Planet of the Apes". I personally thought this was a complicated piece and it did push me a bit. Overall, I like the end result, considering all of the elements in the image.

Another portrait I worked on for a friend of mine. Total completion time was around 10 hours. I used so much reference for this and I still think I could have done better. Haha still working on lighting and color.

Tiger-man Portrait - Kathmandu

This was the portrait that got me out of my art block. Turns out listening to the violin helps you draw angry felines. Haha I tried focusing on lighting and color in this one then got a bit carried away with some facial detail, but I don't think it's harming the piece. Took about 6 hours to complete this piece I believe.

Dragon Portrait - Izixs

Another dragon to add to my list of portraits. This one I was struggling with the lighting and for the life of me could not think of a dynamic pose. Got a little artist block on this one as well, but who cares, right? lol Overall time spent was about 6 hours.

Mermaid Portrait - Sandcastler

Another portrait I worked on recently; this one of a mermaid character. Worked a bit more on detail, around 7 hours. Overall I think it came out alright, the pose is a bit weird but I guess it works. lol

Dragon portrait - Rooth

This was a portrait I worked on for a commission sale. Overall time was around 5 hours.
